I’m an automotive enthusiast with a lifelong appreciation for trucks, especially Toyota trucks. The name Muscle American actually goes way back to when I was 18 years old. At the time, I had no plans to create videos or build a channel. I was just a kid who loved American muscle cars and wanted a username that reflected that passion. When the name I wanted was already taken, I flipped the words, and Muscle American was born.
Over the years, people have understandably asked how a Japanese truck fits under the name “Muscle American.” The truth is, it doesn’t, at least not literally. But the name isn’t about a specific brand or country of origin. It represents a dream, a passion, and a deep love for all things automotive. In many ways, it feels like a tribute to my younger self, the one who stayed up late reading car forums, dreaming about builds, and imagining what could be possible someday. Maybe the name will evolve in the future, but for now, it’s part of the journey and I’m proud to keep it.
I didn’t upload my first video until 2021, when I decided to finally turn that long-standing passion into actual automotive content. At the time, I was driving a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road in Cement, which I had purchased brand new in 2018. That truck became the foundation of the channel and my introduction to creating hands-on, real-world content.
